Hello Everyone,

We have some 12 week old Chantecler chickens and recently moved them to their new coop. I've noticed twice 2 different birds (each at different times) sitting in the coop and looking like they are resting/exhausted while all the others are out foraging for food. One time I went into the coop to get some food while one bird was doing this and it ran out and joined the others. The other time with the other bird I just watched and after 15-30 minutes it hopped up and went out and joined it's brothers and sisters.

I thought that was kind of strange and then this morning when I went out to let the birds out and feed and water them I noticed 2 strange looking poops in the coop. Maybe they are normal, maybe they are not; hopefully someone will know. Here are some pictures:

I just read about ACV and will be adding that to their water using the 1 week on, 3 off method.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

And as for the resting chickens, I can't help with that. Sorry

Thank you, that was very helpful. I was looking at a different poop chart this morning but I didn't see any clear pictures of the shed intestinal tract. It certainly looks like what it is, so no need to worry. Praise the Lord.
