I absolutely, yet respectfully disagree. So long as things are referred to in a biologically correct manner, this is EXACTLY the place for this discussion. I have young children on here, and I am not even slightly concerned about the way this thread has gone. They, in fact, will be better able to understand biology and science because of things discussed here like this...and without giggling, I might add.
I think for all concerned you need to address this as it is not a healthy problem
I think if it was me I would not go to hunt what ever with this chicken
you have to know this is not a healthy thing
what if some children were around and he tried this stunt with them?
So the chicken needs reforming and you need to try to not be so close to him so he can do his thing on your body
in 60 yrs never heard of this at all
I felt it bad enough that I knew people that did AI and the chicken never learned how to mate a hen regular fashion
they are ruined for any kind of normale chicken mating

Someone said this topic was NOT appropriate for this forum... really!?!???!?
Well regarding the mating process in chickens, Im telling you, Chickie does no even try to mate with Mama. I wish wish WISH he would. Instead he just chases her. Me he offers food, like just now, he brought me a worm he found when we were outside together yet he chase her from the food I put in the pen with them. Im telling you, I have tried and tried to get Chickie to become part of the flock... nothing I try is working. Just now, I had to pen them up for the night so I took Chickie out with me. He blind-sided one of my other roos and chased the babies from the worms I feed them to get them all in the pen. It is just the way he is. He treats them as if they are trespassers on his property... line invaders instead of kin.
Oh man, I see the post now objecting to the content of this thread.... all I can say is "OH BROTHER, GIVE ME A BREAK". I guess the mods will put an end if they feel it necessary. Thanks again, very much, for all the advice gals and guys. I dont know what I would do without your help. PS Chickie is all "clear" this afternoon. I feel so much relief. Thanks again.
I don't know why you feel he will not become a chicken?
simply when chickens learn to use some one or something rather than a hen to mate to it is for life of the chicken
I just find it most unnatural and can't imagine using the chicken as entertainment
You must know I apent 50 yrs of my life liveing and feeding animals on a farm so do know what mating process ia all about
also raised three childen and 2 grand children
just find the answer to your supposed problem was needing to AI the rooster
you should have no problem with him as he knows what it is all about
I doubt it will be taken off as the moderators have more to do than read thi every hr
Then I guess if you object to the content, read another post as suggested above. I appreciate support and really dont need criticism. You do not know what or how hard I have tried anything to improve this situation. No one except I know....
