There was no vent bleeding that I could see, but then again the blood might be old so it could have clean off quickly, two of my Easter eggers did recently just start layingYou mention a bleeding vent? Do you have one with a bloody vent?

A vent should not be bleeding. You might find a slight smear of blood on an egg that a first time layer has laid, that would be normal.
You mention "breeding" as well. There is no penetration when mating. Chickens touch vents, it's called a "cloacal kiss", so no, there shouldn't be an bleeding of the vent due to mating either.
