Blood in the egg yolk, quite a bit. Also black spec?

Hi, I have had some blood spots from time to time which I have read is normal, I cracked open an egg the other day to feed to my dog and there was a lot of blood in the yolk what could this be?

Also another egg had a hard black spot in it?

The hard black spot was probably a meat spot, also normal. I think you can even get a bloody egg like that once in a while. I've had this flock for about 3 years and have had this happen once. Here is a good article on various egg abnormalities:
