Blood On Duck Egg

I have an approximately 6 month old Indian Runner duck. She has been laying for about 1 1/2 months and there has never been an issue. Today my husband found one of her eggs with blood smeared all over the outside of the shell. She is eating, drinking, and acting normally. Is this something to be worried about?

What's the rest of the flock like?

Have you looked at her vent?

I was worried about some blood on Romy's tummy, and it was from a minor injury to her halux.

I haven't looked yet as she was running around and seemed fine.

She is the only female duck. The rest of the flock consists of 7 chickens (6 hens and one rooster) and a drake (rouen).

Should I move her to a different setting for the time being?

You might try that, until you are sure where the blood came from and hopefully, why.
