My RIR hens are just starting to lay. I got an egg this morning that had some blood on the outside of the shell. Otherwise it was a nice medium/large egg with a good shell. The egg may have come from a first timer. Is the blood on the shell normal for new layers? Just need to know if this is something I should be concerned about.

Also, do I continue to give electrolytes after the weather cools off?

Thanks for your help

Yes, a small amount of blood on the eggshell is common in new layers.
I stop giving electrolytes after the weather cools. Generally I give it for temps. of 90 and above.
