Hey guys! Quick question. Is it normal for there to be blood on an egg?
Well, that looks a little odd, but yes, it's normal.
Usually happens in pullets, because they have to 'stretch' to get it out.
Either normal or her butt was pecked as she laid the egg?..
Okay, thanks guys
That looks more like a drip, rather than the usual smear that can happen when a bird lays.
If someone had a pecked and bleeding comb, you can find drips around.
That's my guess.
If it continues, it would warrant further investigation.
