I show willing and try to help! I think he likes it really he used to have a physical job but now is more behind the computer and on the phone so making things is a change for him. As I keep telling him the fresh air is good for him!!

Have set 21 more eggs last night. A little delayed in getting them in as I put new pipe on the pump and it wasn't quite tight enough so the water was not getting through. Thankfully it is behaving itself now.

Hi there alisan! Did you open any unhatched chicks to see what stage of development they got too? I would take a guess at humidity problem especially if you have two hygrometers that are reading different. You could recalibrate them so they are giving you a more correct reading. How old are your eggs that you are setting? The fresher the eggs the better the hatch rate.

Most of them looked developed and just died. No pips even?? And how do u calibrate if u don't have a correct reading?

I built the most of it. my dh helped some like holding the boards and such til i got them started and some staples he could reach without having to bend over. the biggie was the roof. I made it flat and it leaked so I did hire an amish man to come put rubber roofing up.
