Number 12 just out!! 1 more egg with a pip and last 2 not doing anything so think they have not made it

So yes think I will end up with bakers dozen again can't seem to get past13!! Got some funny colours this time. Will get a few pics as I have moved 10 to the brooder.

They are like gold lace but with white bits on, one is a bit darker than the other more on the black side but still with the brown gold lace

I suppose that's what you get with crossing mixed colours. Adds to the variety of life.

Have you got them yet? I hope so and that you are up and running

Final count on my hatch is 14/15. The last egg didn't make it, died sometime after lockdown, left it in just to make sure and there was no movement when I candled it. Trauma this mornng in the garage Went out to check the older chicks and the bulb had gone in the lamp. They were a bit cold and very quiet so had to dash and go get a new one. All had a warm up now and are back to normal. Thank goodness

awesome hatch rate !! my wafers are supposed to come today. then i can worry about how to set it right . lol my polish mix babys did the same thing and they have a heat lamp. grandson moved them to a smaller area. I started out there and took a spill.
