Blood ring?

My first time hatching. They went into incubator Monday.

As @sourland , said, "don't toss it yet" hold on to it for a few more days.
Doesn't look like a blood ring to me!

Agree with the rest, check again Monday or Tuesday. I am not sure it is a blood ring. By Tues you should see the embryo

No what you are currently seeing is the chorioallantoic membrane also know as the "Chorion" which is more distinct in certain eggs than others. That being said, eggs can go from perfectly healthy to showing a blood ring overnight depending on incubation conditions/egg health which can also be confusing and lead people to believe the Chorion is an early blood ring if they have not incubated much.

Just candled my ducks eggs today . Day 5. Do you think this is blood ring and should I Chuck it ?
