In the Brooder
I had an incubator go hogwild on me. After 7 days of perfectly documented turning schedule, heat/humidity, everything, I went downstairs and found the incubator at 104. One hundred and FOUR. I immediately moved them to another incubator that I had another clutch in, just in case they could be saved by some miracle, and sure enough, this morning 5 out of 8 had the blood ring.
I am really disgusted; they were doing great. I candled them the night before, and everything was fertile, growing, and perfect. I had to resist the urge to take a hammer to my incubator. That thing has served me well for years. Turkeys, pheasants, chickens, everything.
That clutch was going to be my first round of table birds. :\
Anyway, here's the question: Why do three of them still look like they're okay? Is it possible they survived The Great Incubator Cookout of 2017?
