I had noticed a black poop like thing stuck in of my chicks fluff for a little while now and only today I decided to get it off. I used a paper towel and water to massage it off. The thing came off after I pulled a bit and I was surprised because it is not poop. It seems that the black thing was a scab and under neath it was a bloody bump. I am upset that I caused harm to the chick!! I didn't realize it was a scab ! Help plz, does any one have suggestions for how to treat the bloodied wound? I already put some triple anti biotic on the wound and separated the chick from the rest of them . Help!
(I'm sure it's not pasty butt because the wound is on the lower butt)
I've noticed that my other 4 chicks also have little bumps almost like pimples, on their lower butts. They are not bloody however. What is that??
