Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
When gathering eggs I had noticed that there has been a lot of blood on them. I have some new layers and I know this is common for first timers but this hasn't stopped. I don't get them everytime but often enough. I noticed the other evening that one of my white leghorns butt is all bloody. There don't appear to be any feathers missing so I really don't think she has been pecked to cause it. Any suggestions on what it might be? Is she just still young enough that this is normal?
