Bloody comb?

You are welcome! If she has any visible bleeding the pullets will peck at her also. With my flock they will get curious over feathers being out of place, seriously! You could try putting her in with them but I'd try the blu-kote first and spend some time observing their interactions. If her wound is mild it should heal up relatively quickly.

These are my girls :(

The 1st one is Cookie. Notice the big dent in the top of her head.

The 2nd is Buffy. She flew over the partition to be with the big girls and I'm thinking my rooster did this. They are both well now, thank goodness!

I will buy blu cote first thing in the morning, thank you so much for your time and patience! This is my first flock and was worried about making the situation worse im my ignorance. I keep reading and learning every day tho and am grateful for the wisdom found on this site! Happy to hear your lovely ladies recovered!

When my hen Ghost got pecked by one of the others she had blood running down her comb and onto her beak (I didn't take a pic, but it looked bad). I had my son's father catch her (I can't move that fast) and help me clean her up. Thankfully they left her alone, but I watched closely. Since yours is getting worse I would pull her, clean it, treat it, and allow it to heal.

Ah, that's the beauty of this site. There is ALWAYS something to learn no matter how long you've had your flock! I'm really grateful to have found this site and it feels like home whenever I log in. Hopefully we'll talk again under better circumstances, like your 1st egg or 1st chick! :)
