I just went out and checked the coop, and found this still wet, bloody egg. I don't know if this is the third pullet's first egg, since it's on the small side, or from one of the other two. I don't see any obvious blood from anyone's rear end. Should I be worried?

our chickens were like that when they first layed. I would just wait and see if it continues on, then that would be a problem.

I've had beginner's egg's like that before from pullet's. I think it was because the egg was starting to get bigger and the egg shooter needed to be stretched out to accommodate it. Usually it's only one to two egg's that it will happen to, and then they will be normal again. Just keep an eye on the girl who lay's them.

Whew! She is smaller than the other two. Scared me. Thanks.
