I found one of my hens dead in the coop this morning. No signs of problems before today. But her rear end was all bloody as well as some blood on the egg. Do I think coccidiosis or trouble passing the egg?

Welcome to BYC

Your title says "Worms". Do you suspect worms?

I'm sorry you lost your hen, how old was she?
What do you feed, including treats?
Has she been having trouble with laying eggs?

It's hard to know what happened. A bloody rear end could have been due to prolapse, then the other hens picked at it. She may have had an egg stuck or something else going on. Without further investigation like a necropsy, it's all just a guess.

Coccidiosis is caused by protozoa, infection is usually seen in younger birds, but sometimes an older bird may have Coccidiosis due to being ill or due to certain circumstances. Some common symptoms of Coccidiosis are appearance of being puffed up, having loose droppings sometimes with mucous or blood (not all strains of Coccidia present with blood), not eating/drinking well and an over unkempt appearance.
