My khaki campbell ducks have been laying eggs for about 2 months now and I am getting alot of eggs. My beef is that they almost always have blood or meat spots. Prolly like 70% of the eggs. This is one I got this morning.
Although the spots dont matter to me, I cant really sell the eggs. People are always hesitating to try duck eggs as it is and bloody ones are even worse.
So my question is why do they have spots? I know its common for birds that have just starting laying but its been two months and sometimes like in the above picture there is quite a bit. Thanks
