i picked up two 5week old Ameracauna pullets yesterday. This morning they have bloody poop and one just pooped something that looks like a worm! Do I treat with Corid? Or a wormer? Advice please! Photos in comments.

I would go ahead and treat them for coccidiosis. I don't see anything obvious that looks like a worm, could maybe be shed intestinal lining you saw. Normally the only worms that may be visible without a microscope would be round worms, which look like spaghetti, or tapeworm segments, which look like grains of rice (you can google for pictures). If you have a good clear picture of the worm, that would help. But it does look like blood in the second picture. Corid dosing chart below in case you need it, use the severe outbreak dosing:

Thanks so much!!! Will treat now. The “worm” looks like an average sized earth worm rather than several worms. It just wasn’t the normal blob of chicken shaped poop. Hope this clears it up. One definitely looks like she feels bad, the other keeps pestering her to play.

Ah, so you meant that the first picture you posted looked worm-like? If that's the case, that's just a dropping shaped that way, sometimes it happens that they look a bit like they came from a toothpaste tube. Probably if you actually see a worm some day, you will KNOW. :sick
If your one bird is acting very ill and not drinking well on her own you can give her some of the corid orally to get it in her quicker. Give that in addition to the water mixture, correct dosing for that is here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/corid-oral-drench-instructions.1211991/
Hope they recover!

I thought it might be dead. Didn’t really poke it to check! So I hope I never see a real one! My Little’s have had their first dose orally and the medicated water is in their cage. I’m thankful I picked up this small animal pen at our Scout garage sale in May! It’s a perfect hospital! :thumbsup Thanks for helping me!
