If they are in a brooder and not on dirt than they probably don't have cocci. If you want to you can post a picture of the poo? Also, there are some great links to feces types, you would be amazed at what is considered normal.
Reddish poo is very normal, if it's bloody poo you will know it. There's no mistaking it.
Cocci is a naturally occurring parasite present in all chickens. Usually it's fine and presents no issues, but sometimes it can get out of balance and cause intestinal damage. When mine became an issue we had just moved, so the birds were stressed (weakening their reisistence) and it may have exposed them to a type that was new to them.
