bloody poop, but I don't know whose!

I had the chicks in a different cage, getting some sunlight etc, and one of them had a very bloody poop. There was only one pile of it, but it was bright red. None of the chicks are acting strangely since and this was the day before yesterday. I have been watching very closely because I am terrified they will give something to the rest of the flock. They are almost ready to be moved outside and I don't want to take the chance and do something irreversible. I do not have a vet that is close that will do a fecal on a chicken. However, I do have my own microscope and feel pretty confident that with someone here walking me through it, I could do the fecal my self. The biggest problem is, I have no idea whose poop it was! I didn't see it come out and there hasn't been one since. This batch is 6 weeks old, and I have another batch that is only 9 days old, and I have three turkeys in that batch. They are not in the same brooder.

Any suggestions?

sounds like coccidisis

that would be my guess to. Coccidiosis if most likely the culprit.

I did examine each one for stains, no one had any blood on them. I know, this sounds like I didn't look closely enough, I did. There was some white poop looking stuff, but they are bantam cochins, and it wasn't anything unusual looking. Again, this was two days ago, how long would coccidisis take before I could tell. Is it one of those things that the flock would all have it and I would smack my forehead going, "of course coccidisis I should have known" I'd rather not do that! Any help with what I can do to try to isolate it? they have not really had corn or anything else that would be sharp, I believe I gave them all about half a handful to split one cold night. But they do not get it on a regular basis, only starter. Is there a chance this is a random fluke or do I pretty much have something, I just don't know what?

I had one pullet that had bloody poop so I took the poop to the vet and got the diagnosis. I treated all my chickens like the vet said as if one has it others will have it as well, or will get it. The white poop looking stuff is urine. Normally it is at the end of the poop like a cap.

It definately needs to be treated
