They are 6-7 weeks old. Seem to be acting fine last night. Today it is snowing so huddled up in coop.

That is a time when coccidiosis can strike. If they were mine, I would start Corid in the water to treat for coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid Corid per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Keep bedding dry and clean as possible.

I would immediately start them on a course of Corid. Because you don't know which one dropped the specimens in the pictures I'd drench them all with liquid Corid, undiluted. 1/4 cc per bird 3 days in a row.
Mix up some Corid water at 2 tsp per gallon and offer this as their ONLY source of drinking water (no puddles, etc. to drink from) for 5 to 7 days. Then drop the concentration to 1 tsp per gallon for another 7 days.
After treatment is over, you may want to offer them some probiotics or buttermilk to help with gut healing.

Did we do something wrong that they got this?

https://www.freedomrangerhatchery.com/blog/coccidiosis-your-chickens-what-you-need-to-know/ Here's some great info on coccidiosis.

Basically, it's everywhere but good coop management can lower chances of infection, not eliminate it. And chicks and pullets are at a much higher risk than adults because they haven't built up their immunity to it. Don't be to hard on yourself! It's super common in chickens unfortunately.
