I made milk gravy, biscuits and eggs for dinner tonight. Winter comfort food for sure. Andy yeah, I used powdered milk for the gravy.

@Granny Hatchet I don't think I've seen that brand of powdered milk before. At least not around here.

I googled it and it was $20.-$30. just to make a gal. ! I thought I was losing it. Who the heck is gonna pay that for one gal. milk? Thanks for the info. I will try it next time I make some. I assume you make the milk before hand?

Yeah. I also use slightly more than the directions call for. Just personal taste but I think it makes the milk richer. I make 2 quarts and start with 2 cups of water added to the required powder, blend it till creamy then add the rest of the water stirring as I go. I did have less than a quarter of a gallon of skim milk left that I dumped the 2 quarts of powered milk into. (trying to stretch it out till we can get to the store next week) Then I just cap the jug and shake it to make sure everything is blended. The gravy turned out creamy and smooth.

Good morning Granny Land! I'm feeling a little more motivated today. Not much, but enough to get the laundry done. This afternoon I have to go out and drain the water hose going to the coops so it doesn't freeze overnight. Supposed to be 27 tonight. Tomorrows high 32, low 19. This should be the last of our artic air for the year, weather usually starts warming up the 2nd week of February.
MC sounds like you have a toddler in your house. I know she is a joy!

well up to 4 pups. Star is not coping well at the moment. OPPS they are all quiet at the moment.

So far (started about 3:15 pm) had 3 by 4:15 and then took about 2 hours off. Pretty sure there are still more in there.

2 females and 2 males ALL black and white. Yet another first for Twisted Acres. Of course I have an order for a liver and white male.
