Bloody stool

I bought three new chickens yesterday. All of them were fine when I brought them home but now one has a lot of bright red blood in its stools. It has never been on dirt and seems to be very healthy otherwise. The stools seem normal consistency otherwise. The first two stools were bright red and the third was clotted. The fourth was bright red again but less blood. After that the blood became less and less. This morning there was bright red blood again and lots of it. There is no funny smell, no foamy or slimy poop, no other symptoms. There does seem to be some water around the regular looking stool. Anyone have any ideas?

I would immediately treat for coccidiosis, and start them all on Corid (amprollium or Ampromed) in the water. Most farm stores carry it in the cattle section, and if you can't find that get Sulfadimethoxine or Sulmet. The dosage for Corid is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of powder per gallon of water for 5 days. Afterward, give vitamins and probiotics for at least 3 days. Their age is very common for cocci, and don't delay starting meds.
