Bloody wing feather on Sebastopol Gander ((WARNING GRAPHIC))

I had a (larger) white turkey hurt her wing that way. I put Blue Coat on it also to help stop the bleeding/cover up any blood left so the other birds would not start picking at her. Worked great.

Blue kote is excellent especially with Turkeys and Chickens I also like a product called Vetericyn it is for wounds and infection, it won't cover the wound up so the others can't see it like bluekote but i don't think you have to worry so much about that with geese since they are vegetarians. I hope hes doing better tonight. .

Update!! Gander is still alive...feel bad for him, I have to keep him separated from the rest as he either is fighting with the other ganders or bumping it in the barn. So he looks to be pouting. But until he fully heals, I will keep him in a stall. Hope that doesnt happen again in the near future.

I know he is probably unhappy because he can't be with his group but your doing this for his own good, so he'll just have to pout a bit. Is there a goose you can put i n with him to ease his lonelyness

He has a mate that he has been with for couple of years. If I could just get her to stand up and raise her wing, and say "Its me!". Going to see how he is this weekend and let him out for a sec to see if he runs to her. He should as they are pretty tight like that.;)
