Blow torch on ducks small pin feathers?

I'm processing some ducks and didn't do the waxing method like I had in the past. Is it true that I can take a blow torch to the skin and it will burn all the tiny pin feathers. My birds have a lot of small tiny feather under the skin only slightly poking out.

Might work on smaller downy feathers, but I doubt it would work on true pinfeathers.

If the pin feathers are below the skin, they will not come out. I have come across this quite a lot. and I just pluck what I can get to, then burn the rest, I like a golden hue to my skin, so after burning I scrape the bird with a knife under cold water. I know a lot of people get grossed out by those little black dots under the skin. The meat is fine.
