BLRW chick sex?

Isn't that the typical coloring for a Blue laced red Wyandotte? It has a large comb but it isn't red.Can you hold off for another 2-3 weeks before deciding to dump him(???)

And Wyandotte is breed whereas California Grays are not.
The roos have that red on back and wings

We live in TN, pretty warm in summer, moderate in spring and fall, quite cold in winter.

I suppose I could wait a bit. I do have a small dog kennel to keep one in while in coop, and maybe they'd leave each other alone? I'm a newbie with chickens, so I don't know much.

I'd wait a month or so and keep the better tempered roo.

Our roo is an 18 month old BLRW and he has been a really good boy so far. Timid of people but takes really good care of his girls. His actions remind me of a mama hen with babies. Whenever we throw corn he will do that clucking call and pick up the corn pieces and drop it in front of the closest girl. :love
