I just hatched this little one out about 3 days ago and it has had poopy butt from day 1. It seems to me that his vent is too small and the poop can only kind of trickle out. Sorry for making you look up his butt.
The chick is lethargic sometimes but not all the time, has a quite hard lump in his belly area about the size of a marble, and he stands funny and looks like his body is an odd shape. He has grit in his feed, has had since the beginning and eats and drinks voraciously. Is this a genetic defect that needs to be culled, or is there something else I can try to clear whatever it is in his belly?
