At what age do they crow? It should be happening by now, right?100% cockerel for sure. I breed blue laced red Wyandottes and my rooster looked just like that. I find it's pretty common for Wyandotte roos to be very slow developing, that's why a lot of people think it's a pullet when really hes just a slow developing cockerel.
The comb and wattles are too big and bright red for a pullet at only 18 weeks. In the flash photo I can see the sheen from the rooster feathers on the back. I must say he's going to turn into a gorgeous rooster![]()
They can take a very long time to crow and start mating. One of my roosters is 6 months old and still hasn't started crowing. In saying that, I have heard 10 week old cockerels learning to crow.At what age do they crow? It should be happening by now, right?
