Show quality? Although they are verry nice typey birds they still are not show quality. They can only win best AOV since they are not a standard color. They are still a work in progress and the Foleys have probably the best stock out there but even they will not call them show quality.

I'd show them in a second-around here, we've seen way worse win-"standard color or not".

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Most of my chicks have come from a wonderful breeder. However, a few came from hatcheries via a couple of friends. One of our best hatchery chicks is our beautiful BLRW Trillium aka Tilly....she could be green with pink polka dots and we would still adore her....she does not know she is a chicken, she thinks she is a lap dog! My 3 year old can pick her up and carry her around....she is wonderful! We lucked out and she is a beautiful example of a blue laced red wyandotte....except her comb is not right for her breed, so I would never breed her. On the flip side, we got 2 hatchery chicks who were supposed to be gold laced wyandottes....they have beautiful color and lacing, but do not even remotely have the body type of a wyandotte.....not EVEN close! My feelings are that unless you are going to show....or breed...as long as you are happy with your birds, what difference does it make!

Be Happy and Love Your Chickens....I know we are happy and we love our chickens!

Here are a couple pictures of Tilly! Tilly is 11 weeks old.

Aren't BLRW pullets the best?! Mine was an absolute doll as a little one! And thank you for that statement about beauty being in the eye of the beholder
