So far out of a dozen BLRW eggs that I set 3 weeks ago, two are out and they look nothing alike. One is a really pretty dark brown over most of it's body and dark brown stripes down it's back. The other one has a blueish silver broad stripe down it's back and the rest of it is a blondish color. Is that second one a splash?

Sounds like it. You can definitely tell the difference when they hatch between the blues and splashes.

There are 3 blues and 1 splash in this pic.

There is no definite standard on the BLRWs so they have a really dark version called Black, the just plain Regular BLRW(I can't remember the name but I say regular as it is pretty much the most common), and then splash. The black ones are sorta dark greyish brown with a black on their backs, the regualr are brown with a black/dark brown chipmunk stripe and the Splashes are grey/yellow(their chipmunk stripes are almost invisible as it is a similar color the main body.) We were confused when we got ours from Foley's Waterfowl and Poultry. xD We thought we had only gotten like 4 BLRWs but then they explained the colors to us.

One other question...I had read somewhere else on this board that BLRW are one of the few chickens that you can feather sex. I checked both of them shortly after reading that and if it's true,so far I've got one pullet and one roo.

The one that I think is the roo has much shorter feathers and they are the same length (the splash). The other one you can definitely tell that there were two different length feathers on her wings.
Thanks everyone!
