Would this roo be considered splash? I have no others to compare him to (except his chicks with a blue/gold EE hen). He seems light, but not as light as the splash chicks.

I have a BLRW male who is 4 months old, and that we are contemplating keeping. How is this guy around you and your flock?
Thanks guys! I thought he was blue until I saw his offspring and how much lighter some of the wing feathers are than the blue ones. Although it LOOKS like one of them is going to be black laced….maybe a hidden gene the hen carries? Splash to blue shouldn't have any black....or maybe it's not going to be black but just looks it right now? I guess we'll see. I know for sure who the hen is for that chick as she's our only blue layer.

Altona, he is an AWESOME rooster. He's not overly friendly with us, but not aggressive in any way either. We can pick him up and he'll be calm about it, but he's not going to choose to be held and you may have to chase him. He is wary of people he doesn't know and will warn the hens of them, but again, never aggressive. He's good with all of my birds. We have a huge variety right now from OEGB to turkeys. He gets along well with everybody and is VERY accepting of young additions. He's always finding treats for the ladies and keeping watch. Doesn't crow excessively or anything either. He'll tell off the other birds if they're annoying the hens without an issue, but is even tempered usually.
