Blu-Kote egg

I found out what happens when you Blu-Kote just before a hen lays an egg. you get a decorated egg. One of my girls vent areas was being pecked so I blu-koted while she was in the nest box. When I went out later to collect the eggs, hers looked like she had taken a purple marker to the egg. That won't harm the actual egg will it?
