12 to 16 weeks is quite an age span difference. It looks like a cockerel to me. A close up of the comb showing three rows of peas (as opposed to the single row that pullets have) would confirm that it's a cockerel.

There is a big difference in sexing a 12 week old versus a 16 week old. Can you give a more accurate age? It is starting to look like a cockerel. I would need to see a really clear shot of the comb from the front and the feathers on the back to be sure.

I have a strong inkling that he is a he but he is quite submissive. So I am second guessing myself. I'm trying to get a better pic. But this particular chicken is super flighty. Stay tuned

I think its a cockerel as well. My blue females (not Ameraucanas, but blue female chickens in general) are an all over even shade for the most part, their heads may be darker and they sometimes have lacing, but they don't get those dark patches on their wing bows. My cockerels do though.
He's quite handsome.

He/ she is probably close to 13 weeks. Sorry for the discrepancy. We had started out with 5. After May 14 we had a major massacre by some unknown predator. The group was a mixed age group. So that's why I'm not sure about the age.
