'Blue' Amerecauna's turning out white?

Hi there, so I have 5 chickens who are ~6wks old now - 3 blue copper marans (2 hens & 1 rooster) and 2 'blue amerecauna's' which are (thus far) pure white. I've looked up and found that amerecauna's CAN be white, but I'm wondering what all you chicken experts think:

Hmm well if they were blue, I would think they would've showin it by now. I do know Ameracaunas can be white, but I have a solid white EE too. Closer pictures of them, especially the legs would help!

White is an accepted Ameraucana color. Did you get these from a hatchery? I really doubt they're going to turn blue, they're pretty big and very white.

Yeah, I can't see how they'd miracuously turn colors at this point either, I was/am mostly curious if anyone thinks they're amerecauna's or something else entirely, out of simple curiosity. I just picked out chickens I thought looked cool in pictures and which Meyer Hatchery had available at the time. :shrug: We just want them for eggs

They do look white, and not splash as I thought they may be. Blue does not breed true - blue x blue will not result in all blue offspring. Blue, black and splash are all possible.

They don't have any white ameraucanas listed. Maybe, since they're just starting to sell them, they are having breeder issues and getting mix ups. Although, it's pretty easy to tell a blue chick from a white, I would think.

They are not going to turn blue from white.
What color are their legs?Their legs dont look slate in the first picture but it is hard to tell.

It is easy to tell a blue and white chick apart.The whites are all white and the blues are blue and white.

They started out completely yellow, which I wondered at. Their legs do have some slate on them but its not nearly as dark compared to that on the blue copper maran's.

Hi there, I'm not expert since we don't have americanas in this country so haven't actually seen them in person. However I would expect them to have green legs if they were EE's. Although come to think of it I hatched out half araucanas this year with green, yellow, slate and pale legs so they could be something similar. I'm sure someone with some experience in ameracanas will be along soon to help
