You'll have better luck searching if you use 'OrPington'

It's a common misunderstanding that there's an 'H' and it's an 'F' sound, but it's correctly spelled and pronounced with a hard 'P.'

Very common!

Thanks guys and Thank you Katy that was exactly what I was looking for.. your wonderful

Im not interested in the English threads at all. Although my birds can be mistaken for them, Im strickly an American breeder. Thank you anyway for those links, they are all very informative.

Would love to see pictures of your birds if they are mistaken for English. I breed only English Orps, so am always interested in seeing pictures.

The wind is blowing so on the blue in the first pic her tail looks up right.. its the wind. Most have the rumpless look, a very few have a touch of an upright tail, but only 3 of my birds are like that. My favorite hen was MIA when I took these this morning. Now I need to find her new nesting place.. uggg.. LOL.. Im starting my test hatch in 3 days.

The rooster shown will be a year old this fall. My nice splash roo I couldn't get a good shot of. I will try later. They are pretty large birds, I don't know if you can tell from the photos, but.. they are huge.

Technically, Orpingtons are an English breed, however, the ones that some are today calling "English Orps" are definitely not to my personal taste. I truly think they look most like Cochins with their fluff going down to the ground and I'm not a huge Cochin fan. I don't like them at all, I've decided. In fact, to me, the males look positively bloated. That ain't gonna make me real popular with some crowds but, oh well.
