Blue and lavender chickens

Hi! I'd love to breed a chicken as blue as my buddy, Gullet:

I've got oodles of 'blue' chickens, but nothing that compares.

It's a juvenile blue jay.

Ahhh, we don't have very many here--mostly up in the mountains, and then only a few (although there are some other jay species, such as the stellar which is amazing), and it's been a l-o-n-g time since I lived where they were common, and back then I really didn;t pay much specific attention to birds.

We have them all over around here. I just looked up a stellar jay, they're beautiful! I wish we had them out here.

Hi! Yes, Gullet is a Blue Jay I ended up hand-raising.
Hubby is always telling me my 'blue chickens' aren't blue, they are gray! When the Gullet started feathering out, he was quick to point out the difference "Now that's BLUE! Why don't you have chickens that are REALLY BLUE?"
