Blue and Lavender Orpingtons...where do you get 'em?

    Excluding hatching one's own, where do you find these pullets?

    call feed stores in your area see who will do chicks this spring

    (out of 2 myers is cheaper but they both put in a heating element)

    doesn't use heating element they throw in boy chicks for warmth!

    Um, you will not find Blue or lavender Orps at any feedstore, I guarantee it. I have the Blues, but the lavenders aren't available much in this country right now, although there are people starting to work on them. Sandhill Preservation and Catalpa Grove Farms sell straight run chicks at premium prices, but I think they're sold out till fall this year already.
