I have one of each hen in with my Andalusian. My roosters are one of each color= Black Andalusian, Blue Andalusian, blue splash Andalusian. If I hatch eggs from my Silver Laced Wyandotte and my Black Australorp hens crossed on these roosters what color will the chicks be?
I think that the chicks with the BA hen will be 100% blue with the splash roo , 50/ 50 with the black roo, and 50/ 50 with the blue roo.
I have no clue how the color will be with the SLW hen can you help on this.
In this pen with them I have all 3 colors of the Andalusian hens.
Also I have some mixed breed hens that are splash colored, and some reds, and some blacks.
I would like to know as much as I can before hatching some or offering them to others to hatch.
I think that the crosses will be wonderful.
If any one is interested I'll have eggs available this spring from this pen.

Black + Black = 100% Black

Black + Splash = 100% Blue

Black + Blue = 50% Black, 50% Blue

Silver Laced + Black = 100% Black

Silver Laced + Blue = 50% Blue, 50% Black (whether the blue is laced or not depends on whether either or both parents provide Pg--lacinf is not visible on black)

Silver Laced + Splash = 100% blue (and same note about lacing as above)

Thank you, so theres a good chance that the chicks from the slw hen will be blue.
What about the red hens?

If they were RIR or similar
To Black = 100% Black
to Blue = 50% each Black & Blue
to Splash = 100% Blue
No lacing would be seen on the Blues
