However did we ever live without technology before? In the 1940's when my folks installed their first all-black dial phone it was a shared party line w/ a neighbor ~ one ring meant the call was at the neighbor's house & 2 rings meant the call was for our house... which meant either house could pick up the phone to listen to the other neighbor's conversations! To make a long distance call to the next county involved dialing "O" for a live operator to make the long distance connection ❗

A classic picture of a classy lady
But I need to remind you that you did good by her, one chicken alone without her own kind would have been torture. I’m sure she misses you, but she’s happy in her new surroundings

Good Morning all

Some fluffy butts for a end of the week Friday, and the first day of astronomical summer. Today is the longest day, we are now getting over 15hrs of daylight and add on a few more hrs for sunrise sunset. There is a lot of light right now!

Non-bearded are keepers. I didn't think so till we got this little Moorhead. She's our funny girl & has the cutest tiny wattles & the turquoise ears show up better.

She is cute as a button! She can also see. I do like this color, she looks so fancy to me.

I love the silkies now that I have had them. The thing I enjoy the most is how gentle they are.
