I've read they breed a black orphangton to a rhode island red hen. This is supposed to create blue australorps

I read that in Australia they bred black orphington roosters to Rhode Island red hens to have great egg layers and they got blue Australorps.

I feel like I'm about to create a time paradox, interacting with an old thread my original account posted to on here, but I'm pretty sure Black and Red (mahogany) don't make blue.

I have a blue EE. I think her mom was a LO. She lays a tan egg.
