Today is DAY 21 and they are hatched!
100% grew and would have all hatched but the idiothens had a scuffle in the next box and cracked 1

Here they are:

Split down the middle, 5 blues and 5 blacks:

Ack! I can already see I've got at least 6 boys.

Wow what a beautiful roo. Im new to the Sex/Cross-link thing How does this work with the off spring the little roos will look like yours in 6 months or? and the hens as well?

With the barred rock hens, the roo babies will be barred blue or black (hatched with a little white spot on their head) and the girl babies will have no white spot and will be non-barred blue or black. There MAY be an egg in there from my blue pullet; in that case, the baby will be blue, black or splash, whether a girl or boy. Im not growing out any roos, but several people are. Ill be interested to see how they end up.
