What I find terribly interesting is that, with barred rocks, all the babies have white on their heads, with the males having a different pattern of white than the girls (I forget now if the males have the larger white spot). With the blue/barred cross, both the black and blue males have white on their head. With the blues its a bit fainter, but after seeing so many babies now from that cross, its fairly obvious. The girls have no white at all on their heads. Just solid black or blue.
