Blue Birchen Marans from Greenfire.... 4 weeks old ?

Hello All:

The Blue Birchen Marans chicks I ordered from Greenfire are 4 weeks old now... I am posting pics of each .. gender guesses anyone? There are three blues and one splash... there are several pics of each chick... chick 3 in the last 2 photos of it... you can see a little brown feather bleed thru... not horrible but may not use this one for breeding purposes... they are cute and friendly little devils.. on my antique Persian runner no less!

They are still kinda young still. I'd wait 2-3 more weeks before deciding for sure. But prominent, dark pink combs at just 4 weeks......not a good sign. I'm leaning towards all cockerels, but like said its still early.

Yes, too young to get reliable answers. The bird in pics 2 and 3 looks most like a cockerel with that big comb.

# 1 was a rooster... the other 3 were hens.... the splash is the sweetest hen you can imagine... unfortunately... one 2 hens and the rooster there was way too much straw colored leakage to use them as breeders... pretty dissapointed with the quality on the GFF stock w regard to BBS Marans.. the Svarts I got from them were awesome... however best... jeff ashenfarms.com

I just ordered a few blue birchen marans from greenfire. I can't afford too many so I'm hoping for a decent roo to bump my olive egger flock.
