Anybody know how to tell the underlying base pattern in a Blau (blue) bird? Thieving otter farms has a couple pictures of some gorgeous blues and I'm using that as a guide on my two mystery chicks, please let me know if I'm wrong!
The two top pictures are the same bird, same day, just slightly different light (partial sun and full sun)! I'm guessing this is blue over EB (rosetta)? And therefore not feather sexable (3.5 weeks old) or is it something else and male?
This guy has been a complete puzzle, was a medium yellow chick with a slight rusty color over the back and head. Now coming in creamy topline and white belly. Guessing Tuxedo with Blue Fawn? How do you differentiate EB/Fawn/Wild type under silver/blue? I'm going off pictures of other birds but can't find a whole lot out there. Thanks!
