blue breasted coturnix

The button quail in the US are
Coturnix Chinensia
We have them mis named
If I am right here little to no one in the US own "true button quail" which are not really quail. On here the button quail we all have are Chinese Painted Quail also know as the Asian Blue Quail

LOL no its confusing its all good lol not many people realize that that our "button quails" arent really "button quails" LOL

i didn't know that there was a difference between our button quails and the 'true' button quails. i thought they were the same but now i know!

I wasnt here when Citalk2much cleared it up for you. I came and read that and replied to edumacate you and then saw that it was already cleared after the fact and said it was fine that you corrected me wrongly LOL!

there are true button quails in the US as long as Garrie Laundry still breeds them. He has the water kind (the true kind) as well as the chinese painteds aka blue breasted, aka button quail, aka .....etc LOL
 
I did not know Garrie still had them wow that is cool thou I really don't think they are as cute as our Buttons I like all the colors the Chinese painted quail come in and the fun of gentics
