In Strombergs 2011 catalog there are blue brooder/pilot lights being sold as the most popular lights in recent years. This is the first I've heard of using blue lights in the brooder. Can anyone enlighten me?

I'm just wondering what's the purpose of a 'blue' light in a brooder.

I think that is for people who use brooder heating elements.... Like those Brinsea Ecoglow. It will attract them to the heat... That is only if they are in a BIG area and don't notice the location of the heat... Not that important really...

same as a red light. its easier on the chick's eyes, because its darker, yet it still gives out the appropriate heat.
