She appears to have a single comb, though I'm no expert when it comes to combs and I could be wrong. However, she does indeed have black skin throughout. The skin on her head, wings, back, chest, legs and the soles of her feet are all black. The tips of her middle toes are the only white skin on her body which is quite odd in itself. The more research I do, the more I think she's a mutt.
Here are some pictures of her today. She's growing like a weed and went from being the smallest out of our four chicks to the largest. She feels like a brick!
And here is one of her getting into mischief as always. When her sisters are getting a bit too rowdy, she retreats to her new found perch (something the others have not yet learned to do)
Well, i haven't got a clue as of what kind of chicken it is but that little thing is ADORABLE! I love blue chickens... I use to have one cockerel chook who was the same color at that age but he died while we were on vacation...
Well, how about that? Her skin is black. Looking at the tips of her toes, I'd have said she had white skin for sure. If it wasn't for that, I'd say she was a blue Orp chick, which has white skin and slate legs. Looks just like all the ones I've hatched from the blue Orp rooster in my avatar.
