The females are 20 week old buff orpingtons. Some have sexually matured and have the red face, some are pink faces, others have not changed much. I have not wormed them beyond giving them garlic, thyme, oregano, and oil of oregano. They also have never had medicated feed and they also graze on pasture.
At 13 weeks old one of our Marek's birds had a fecal done and the vet did not detect any parasites, coccidia, etc.
The females appear without symptoms. However with Marek's in the flock it is hard to say. It is not totally unusual that they just seemingly/randomly die. Here one morning and gone by evening.
Other than the no eggshell and my roo having a blue comb/diarrhea-which I believe was Marek's related-I have no other reason to suspect IB. I think the lack of shell was due to the females beginning to lay.
I offer eggshells daily and have not purchased oyster shell. I can add that to the regimen. I get a few normal eggs a day. Hard and intact shell.
Thanks for your help!
