Blue/Copper Maran sexing

Are there consistent guidelines for sexing Blue Marans? From searching other posts, it seems that the lighter chicks are boys and the dark ones are female. Is this correct and are there any other indicators?

It's my understanding that the light/dark thing only applies to Cuckoos.

I've got (5) five-week-old BC Marans and I have no clue as to the gender of either of them.

I am pretty sure my Black Copper Marans is a pullet. But what would you say of the Blue? I know it is not the best pic I will try to get a better one later. And no they are not still under a lamp they were in bc I got a new roo and my Blue is aggressive. I wanted my Roo to establish his place in the coop first if that makes any sense. Thanks

I'm really hoping my month old chick in the middle

is a pullet I think I know the answer as to the other two (they look almost identical except one has some copper coming in on its wings)
