I was told this chicken was a blue copper maran from the local place I picked it up from. I’m worried that It might be an Australorp x BCM cross, I think it’s a female as well based off of age, she is 7 weeks old.

It's tough to say. Some breeders are honest, some aren't, and mistakes happen despite the best of intentions sometimes. I see no reason to doubt that it's a blue copper Marans so far. The lack of the coppery coloring on the neck is pretty common, and doesn't necessarily mean she's not 100% Marans. When she lays you should be able to tell by egg color.

It’s not really visible in the photo, but there is some really slight copper coloring starting to come in the neck area.

That's a good clue that she probably is a blue copper Marans.
Hey Jed, in case you wanted to know, she is a super beautiful bcm. Now, there is another one I’ve got that I’m not sure on gender. It’s 9 weeks old. The first one is the one I posted earlier in this thread, and then the other one is unknown yet. It’s feathering is coming in slower, and in a uglier way.

They have small and pale combs, and even coloring in their plumage. I think both are pullets. Beautiful birds!

I just acquired this beautiful girl and was told she’s a blue copper marans. She has very little coloring coming in the hackles-hard to see in the pic. She’s 15 weeks old and already as tall as my Bielefelders.
